Twin Load Cells

  • Lightweight aluminum hopper mounted on 2 load cells which measure the weight of the hopper and the material ONLY.
  • Continuously monitors the loss-in-weight as material is dosed and automatically adjusts flow rate.
  • Measuring only the hopper and masterbatch allows for finer resolution load cells versus weighing complete feeder assembly and motor. This achieves maximum accuracy and control.

Simple Set up 

The MGF operates in 3 simple steps:

  1. Ready – Load material hopper with masterbatch.
  2. Set – percentage setting (LDR): in shot weight or lb/h (kg/h).
  3. Go – Automatic calibration and error correction.

Continuous Accuracy

100% Injection Coloring

  • When accuracy for the entire shot is essential for critical additives, colors and tinting.
  • 2 signals – screw back / recovery signal AND Injection signal.

Machine Integration MGF Configuration – ST vs. STV

  • MGF ST: Typically newer injection molding machines and extrusion lines.

Complete Extrusion Control

Extrusion Control Modes:

  • Continuous – Feeder automatically doses according to extrusion throughput reference entered into control.
  • Extrusion Following – Feeder follows 0-10 V interface signal of extruder to ensure correct setting as throughputs increase / decrease.
  • LIW – Follows complete process data from LIW live. Loss in weight updates process consumption every second.
